The Committee to Re-Elect John McNesby is asking for your support in
the upcoming election for President of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge

Meet John McNesby; he is a 20 year veteran of the Philadelphia Police
and the FOP.
John and Patty have been married for sixteen years. They have two daughters,
Meghan 12 and Caitlyn 10 and reside in the Northeast section of the City.
Upon graduation from the Police Academy, John was assigned to the 24th
District #2 Platoon. While in the 24th District John's other assignments
were: the Burglary Detail, East Task Force, Tactical Team and the NETS Team.
He received numerous commendations and awards, including Officer of the
Year in 1995 and 1999.
In 2000, John was transferred to the Narcotics Bureau and assigned to
East Division #1. Shortly thereafter he was assigned to the Violent Response
Team. John participated in thousands of felony investigations and arrests,
leading to numerous convictions.
John has been actively involved in the FOP serving as squad director
and being elected to delegate, since joining the department. He served on
the Appropriations Committee, and was chair of the Grievance and By-Law
Committees through the year 1994-2000. In addition he served on the Contract
Committee for the contract arbitrated in the years 2000, 2002 and 2004.
John testified at length in our 2004 Act 111 Interest Arbitration.
In 2000, John was elected to the FOP Executive Board as Trustee, and
in 2002 as Vice President. As Vice President, John handles numerous labor
issues on behalf of our membership. Since 2005, John has been the Chief
of Staff directing the everyday operations of the Lodge.
John has the opportunity to attend the Harvard Trade Union Labor School
in Boston. He successfully completed the program along with thirty classmates
from around the world in 2007. This group continues to network maintaining
the highest level of communication in the area of Police labor issues.
In 2007 when running for President John said “When elected as President,
I make this promise to you, that my team will work as hard as we can, give
it our all, day in and day out, to improve our wages, our benefits and our pensions. We will continue to work diligently on behalf of our pensioners.
We know what the issues are; we know what issues matter to you and EXPERIENCE
COUNTS!"
Team McNesby has done exactly that.
